How Storywick works, what we collect, and how refunds are handled.
This Privacy Policy describes how Storywick ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit storywick.shop or order a personalised story or song from us.

Because Storywick's product is personalised for a child, the personal details you submit at order time are usually about someone other than you, often a minor. By submitting an order, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or that you otherwise have their guardian's permission to share these details with us for the purpose of producing your order.
We use the child's name and details solely to write and produce the story or song you ordered. We do not use a child's name or personal details for marketing, and we do not feature real customer orders, including the child's name or any identifying detail, in our portfolio, demos, or marketing materials without the ordering guardian's separate, explicit consent.

We never sell your data, or your child's data. Information is shared only with trusted service providers necessary to fulfil your order, including our payment provider and our web hosting and email providers.
We keep order details (including the personalisation information submitted) only for as long as needed to produce and deliver your order, handle any revision request, and meet our legal record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted rather than retained indefinitely.
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you or (as the submitting guardian) about your child in connection with an order. Contact us using the details below to exercise any of these rights.

Welcome to storywick.shop, operated by Storywick ("we", "us", or "our"). By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms.
Storywick produces personalised, AI-narrated bedtime stories and name-songs for children, made to order around the name and details you provide. Every piece is generated fresh for your order. It is not a pre-made template with a name inserted.
We disclose plainly that narration, music, and story text are AI-generated, built around the details you provide. What we aim to get right is that it sounds warm and feels made for your child, not that no AI tools were involved.
You provide the child's name and personalisation details (a favourite thing, a value to celebrate, or similar) via our order form or by email. You are responsible for the accuracy of the name and details you submit. Please double-check spelling, as we produce your order based exactly on what you provide. Payment is required in full before production begins.
Orders are typically delivered within 48 hours of payment and receipt of your personalisation details, usually sooner. This is a production target, not a guaranteed contractual deadline. We'll let you know promptly if anything will take longer. Files are delivered as an MP3 attached to or linked from an email to the address you provided.
Each order includes one revision at no extra cost if something is off, for example a name mispronunciation or a detail you'd like adjusted. Revision requests should be made within 7 days of delivery. Requests for a substantially different piece (a different occasion, a different child, or a full rewrite) will be treated as a new order.
Once delivered, the story or song is yours to keep, play, and share personally, with family, on your own social media, or anywhere else you'd like to enjoy it. It's a personal keepsake made for your child.
You may not resell the delivered file, use it commercially, or claim authorship of the underlying production. We do not reuse your specific order, or feature your child's name or details, in our own marketing without your explicit consent (see Section 2 of our Privacy Policy).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Subject to the above, and to the extent permitted by law, we produce every order in good faith based on the details you supply and are not liable for indirect loss or consequential damage, or for loss of profit, data, or business interruption, arising from use of a delivered file. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. This limitation applies only to the extent fair and reasonable in the circumstances and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Please read this before ordering. Because every story and song is custom-made for your child, our refund terms reflect that. Please double check the name and spelling you submit, as production starts promptly after payment.
If you need to cancel very shortly after ordering, before production has started, contact us immediately at contact@storywick.shop and we'll do our best to accommodate a full refund.
Because each piece is personalised and produced specifically for your order, we can't offer refunds once it's delivered. If something is off (a mispronunciation, a detail that needs adjusting), tell us and we'll do one revision at no extra cost (see Terms of Service, Section 4).
This reflects that personalised/bespoke digital content is generally exempt from the standard UK consumer "cooling-off" cancellation right once production has begun, since it's made to your specification and can't be resold to anyone else.
If your delivered file is corrupted, missing, or you never received it, email contact@storywick.shop within 7 days of your order and we'll resolve it or re-send the file at no charge.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory rights under UK consumer law where those rights cannot be legally excluded. If you believe you have a statutory right to a remedy outside the terms above, contact us and we'll consider it in good faith.
For any refund query, email us with your order details and a brief description of the issue. We aim to respond within 2 working days.
